The courses are non-credit and will provide an excellent opportunity to prepare for university-level introductory chemistry and math (precalculus/calculus level) courses. Students will be encouraged to take the Calculus Readiness Test shortly after the summer program for those who are interested in taking Calculus (Math 75 or Math 75A) during the academic year. The summer program will also assist students in networking with other incoming college students.
Eligibility:
*Incoming Freshmen
*US Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Traditionally underserved in higher education and faced social, cultural, educational, or economic barriers
* Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) major
Targeted Majors: Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics
Priority deadline: May 1, 2013 (only 25 slots available, so apply early).
