Hello Graduating Glacier Students, We will be hosting a representative for our local community college at our Oakhurst campus this Monday, December 1st at 2:15pm in Room C. All students graduating this year are encouraged to come to this meeting. You will find out information on the process of registering for Community College next year. There are some key approaching deadlines in December and January that you will not want to miss. Be aware that this process is different then what many of you have done as a High School student attending college classes. In addition we will share information regarding financial aid which will be helpful to all students, even those not planning on attending community college. We hope to see you Monday and have a great Thanksgiving The votes are in for Grad Nite 2015, we are going to Magic Mountain!
All graduating seniors have an opportunity to participate in Grad Nite on May 21st to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California. The total cost will not exceed $140. This includes transportation to the event, dinner, picture, early access to rides, ticket, and a glow in the dark wearable souvenir. We are still finalizing the schedule but we anticipate leaving from our Oakhurst campus Thursday at 4:30pm with a stop at our Kingsburg Campus at 5:45pm. We will enter Magic Mountain at 9pm and you will enjoy an early admission dinner with early access to the rides. 11pm – 5am enjoy the rides and celebration. We should arrive back Friday morning at Kingsburg around 8:45am and Oakhurst around 10am. Parent Chaperones are welcome for additional cost. We will provide more information as we receive it. You can visit their website by clicking here to see a promotional video. I found the FAQ section very helpful. Click here to see Frequently Asked Questions regarding Grad Nite at Magic Mountain. We would like an initial deposit of $80 per student and $65 per chaperone by Friday December 5th for those that want to attend. This will allow us to work out final numbers and costs. Any other questions please direct them to Eric Hagen at [email protected] or Nancy Garcia at [email protected] |
