ROV Program
The Marine Advanced Technology Education(MATE) Center at Monterey Peninsula College(MPC) sponsors an annual underwater robotics contest for students in grades 6 –12. Students design, build, and pilot remotely operated vehicles(ROVs) to compete in a competition in April or May. The event includes underwater missions, a poster display, and an engineering presentation. Scout is open to everyone(grades 6-12). This class is taught by Mr. Rumohr. Initially, class will be on-site. We will be transitioning to a local pool for testing.
REQUIREMENTS: Students and parents must attend the informational meeting to understand the class and commitment needed.
