An opportunity for all students 9th - 12th grade to earn scholarships up totaling up to $25,000. The Lions Club holds an annual Student Speaker Contest. This competition is open to all High School Students and encourages them to hone their talent through research, speech drafting, and oration skills. This years topic is "Water Conservation - How Can We Reduce, Recycle, and Reclaim?" Students start with the local level competition and each finalist proceeds through larger regional contests. At each level there are scholarships ranging from $100 all the way to $10,000. There is an initial deadline of Oct. 1st but they may be schedule speeches earlier.
