Hello Graduating Glacier Students, We will be hosting a representative for our local community college at our Oakhurst campus this Monday, December 1st at 2:15pm in Room C. All students graduating this year are encouraged to come to this meeting. You will find out information on the process of registering for Community College next year. There are some key approaching deadlines in December and January that you will not want to miss. Be aware that this process is different then what many of you have done as a High School student attending college classes. In addition we will share information regarding financial aid which will be helpful to all students, even those not planning on attending community college. We hope to see you Monday and have a great Thanksgiving The votes are in for Grad Nite 2015, we are going to Magic Mountain!
All graduating seniors have an opportunity to participate in Grad Nite on May 21st to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California. The total cost will not exceed $140. This includes transportation to the event, dinner, picture, early access to rides, ticket, and a glow in the dark wearable souvenir. We are still finalizing the schedule but we anticipate leaving from our Oakhurst campus Thursday at 4:30pm with a stop at our Kingsburg Campus at 5:45pm. We will enter Magic Mountain at 9pm and you will enjoy an early admission dinner with early access to the rides. 11pm – 5am enjoy the rides and celebration. We should arrive back Friday morning at Kingsburg around 8:45am and Oakhurst around 10am. Parent Chaperones are welcome for additional cost. We will provide more information as we receive it. We would like an initial deposit of $80 per student and $65 per chaperone by Friday December 5th for those that want to attend. This will allow us to work out final numbers and costs. The presenter is out sick. Please stay tuned for a new date as we are planning on rescheduling this meeting in the next couple of weeks. We are sorry for the inconvenience. It has come to our attention that children of one our families has been infected with head lice. They believe that their children contracted the lice in activity outside of school. We are sending this to you just in inform you to be aware of your own children if they complain about itching. Please do let us, the school, know if you find lice on one of your children. Meeting will begin at 1:15 this Monday 11/17 and will include description of course as well as expectations. A representative from the college will be here to explain the matriculation processes as well as financial aid questions. For those that missed the meeting please click here to see what you missed. During that meeting we discussed that Grad Nite will be different this year and I want your input. Tomorrow, Wednesday November 12th at 2:30pm in Oakhurst, I am looking for any Glacier Parents to help with our local scholarship award program for Seniors. All Parents welcome, even if you don't have a Senior this year, it can pay off when your child graduates. The meeting should be just 30 minutes.
![]() Hello Glacier Graduates, Here is a quick reminder that we have an important informational meeting for Seniors at both Oakhurst and Kingsburg. The meeting for Oakhurst campus will be this Monday, November 3rd at 2pm. The meeting for Kingsburg campus will be this Wednesday, November 5th at 2:30pm. If you are planning on graduating this year please attend this meeting. We will have a representative from Josten's Jewelry to answer questions about graduation gowns as well as other Senior items like class rings. We will also discuss Graduation Ceremony, Grad Nite, Scholarships, Fundraisers, costs, and other deadlines. Parents and Students are welcome to attend.
