There are some upcoming events that we want to inform you of:
We have had many people ask about ways to help those affected by the Courtney Fire that destroyed over 30 homes in the Bass Lake Heights area and Oakhurst. Some of the families affected are past home school families or friends of ours.
The best summary of what I have seen in terms of help out there and ways to get involved or provide support is on Sierra News Online. Click here to read the article and the amazing ways our community is coming together to offer help.
Just a quick reminder that Michael Jones Photography is at our Oakhurst Campus today until noon taking pictures. If you missed the picture day last week this is your last opportunity. Also parents and other siblings can get their photo taken. It is free to get your photo in the yearbook and just $5 for a student or parent ID. That's right, parents can get a photo ID showing that they are a home school teacher. This ID is useful for various discounts that teachers receive. Those of you at our Kingsburg site, you picture day is coming.
Mountain Home and Glacier High will be open tomorrow. All classes will continue as scheduled for those that are not affected by the Courtney Fire near Bass Lake.
Please pray for those that have lost homes or have been evacuated. Thank you to the amazing fire fighters, law enforcement, and other emergency personal.
Glacier High School would like to welcome new and returning board members for the 2014-15 school year. Thank you for your time and service leading our schools.
Current members 2014-15
The 2014 - 15 attendance forms are now available online for your convenience. The first attendance is not due until September 12th but if you need a copy please follow the links below. If the new forms do not appear, simply refresh your browser.
This form is very important to turn in on time. Failure to turn the form in on time will result in a non-compliance letter. If you need to fax your attendance form, this can be done at (559) 642-1592 but we need the original form turned in to your charter teacher within the next school week.
If you have further questions, please contact your charter teacher.
Yosemite National Park Education Branch, in partnership with the Ansel Adams Gallery and the Yosemite Conservancy, is offering an opportunity for students grades K-12 to enter our Gateway Expressions Student Art and Poetry Contest. This is an excellent opportunity for students to express their talents through their artwork or poetry. The selected student artwork and poetry will be featured in an exhibit at The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite Valley where students will be acknowledged at a special awards ceremony on Saturday, October 25th, 2014.
